Dear 15 year old me…

Hey lovelies,

Today I have been inspired by Frank Ocean’s letter to himself when he was younger so I thought I would give it a shot myself. Here it goes:

Dear 15 year old me,

I know things may seem tough right now with studying for your GCSEs and deciding on your future path but believe me things will get better.

You will pass your GCSEs with flying colours and you will do the same with your A levels.

Don’t worry about knowing what you want to do in the future as even at 21 you are not quite sure and it hasn’t killed you. I don’t want to spoil things to much but you will be working aside an MP in a foreign country (not as exotic as you think though).

Friends will be one of the most difficult parts of your life. You will have great friends, friends who hurt you, and friends who really aren’t friends at all. But it’s ok. You do not have to get along with everyone and remember quality over quantity.

I know you currently love McDonald’s but your taste palette will be refined shortly so don’t keep thinking it’s amazing.

Don’t stress and enjoy things the way that they are as these will be some of the easiest times of your life and great things are ahead.

Lots of love,

Your 21 year old self

As I thought this was a really good idea and helped me reflect on my life, I would like to nominate some people to do the same. However, there is no pressure to do it.

Here are my nominees:

  1. This is another one that could be good for my careers ‘thing’. Chelia at Pink for Days, is also on board with the concept. I’m thinking of maybe doing it like a blog party but calling it a career clinic. We can all get together and talk about twists and turns of careers and perhapas those 15, 16, 17 year old bloggers out there who do not know what to do yet!
